JOHN DAVID STANICHAK: September 21, 1953 – August 15, 2014
It is with great sadness that Patrick and Joan Stewart, co-event organizers of the Vancouver All British Field Meet, announce the sudden but peaceful passing of John David Stanichak, beloved partner of Michelle Jaroch of Calgary, on Friday, August 15, 2014.
John was a great fan of the annual All British Field Meet, making the journey to Vancouver to participate in the show, whenever possible.
John, together with his fellow Albertan and ABFM judge Morris Calvert, worked behind the scenes to encourage and introduce many Albertans to attend the show.
A memorial service was held at McInnis & Holloway on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in John’s name to McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation, Hamilton, ON, hamiltonhealth.ca/mchf-main/.
John’s legacy of fun and participation at the Friday evening ABFM Noggin ‘n Natter will continue with fond memories of our friend and fellow classic car enthusiast.
