The second annual of Track Day for Charity, which took place on June 15, 2014, raised $13,500 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Regina Chan, founder and committee chair of Track Day for Charity, the first Chinese Community fundraising event for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, was extremely proud and excited at the 35 per cent increase in proceeds donated to the foundation in the event’s second year.

“We wanted to create a unique event to fundraise for Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation,” said Chan. “Track Day for Charity allowed the participating drivers to advance their driving and handling skills with professional race car instructors and discover the maximum performance of the vehicle on a track, [while having] fun at the same time.”

Since the launch of its Chinese program in January 2013, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation has been actively providing breast health information and services in the Chinese community using Chinese language, and in a culturally appropriate manner.

Track Day for Charity took place at Mission Raceway Park.
