David Brown Automotive Speedback GT.<\/p><\/div>\n

London, England<\/span><\/span>\u2014<\/span>David Brown\u00a0<\/a><\/span>Automotive<\/a> has unveiled its unique handcrafted GT car.<\/span><\/p>\n

This highly anticipated new car, which is designed, engineered and hand-crafted in Britain, will\u00a0be called Speedback: a name chosen to reflect the lines of this V8-powered sports\u00a0coup\u00e9.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speedback will travel to\u00a0Monaco to be shown publicly for the first time at the exclusive Top Marques show, which runs at the\u00a0Grimaldi Forum from April 17-20, 2014, where a David Brown team will be\u00a0available to discuss the car, its specifications and to take orders during the event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Company founder and CEO, David Brown has a long-standing background in engineering, vehicle\u00a0manufacturing and an equally strong enthusiasm for both classic and contemporary cars (although he\u00a0has no connection with either Aston Martin, its founder, Sir David Brown, or with the David Brown\u00a0Group). With his concept for a classically styled GT car with modern mechanicals and reliability, he\u00a0began to assemble his specialist team some two years ago.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe launch of Speedback is the realization of a dream for me, and is the result of skillful and\u00a0dedicated work by a team of highly talented designers, engineers and craftsmen,<\/span>\u201d<\/span> said Brown. <\/span>\u201c<\/span>I am delighted at the\u00a0reaction of the media, our suppliers, potential customers and friends, and I look forward to presenting\u00a0the car to the public in Monaco.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"David<\/a>\u201c<\/span>The Speedback name perfectly reflects the classic sports car tradition\u00a0of the past, whilst also doing justice to the sophisticated silhouette of the car\u2019s hand-built body and\u00a0<\/span>unique styling which features amongst much other detail, a fold-down picnic seat.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The car is the result of 18 months of hard work by the David Brown Automotive team,\u00a0including highly experienced chief designer, Alan Mobberley. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Speedback, which has been engineered\u00a0and handcrafted in Coventry, uses traditional British materials and craftsmanship. Speedback\u00a0promises exceptional performance and handling from the latest Jaguar 5-litre supercharged engine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Customers of Speedback are able to request any level of tuning or engine enhancements they desire.<\/span><\/p>\n
