Maserati celebrated the North American roll out of its all-new Ghibli (Gib-lee) with a 90-second broadcast spot titled \u201cStrike\u201d during the first quarter of the Super Bowl on January 31, 2014.<\/p>\n

Ghibli is a type of African desert wind and the perfect description of the way this commercial spot blew through North America’s most-watched football game.<\/p>\n

Directed by American filmmaker David Gordon Green and filmed on location in Los Angeles, \u201cStrike\u201d is described as a poetic nod to a brand with proven tradition and one of the highest standards of quality in the industry that has been hard at work engineering an automobile, which will usher it into the next 100 years of innovation\u2014an automobile with power and personality capable of striking against the status quo. \u201cThe spot is relevant to Americans everywhere who have had struggles and obstacles to overcome and is a reminder that with steadfast commitment to hardwork and unwavering passion, we can deal with our own \u201cgiants\u201d around us; we can overcome them and achieve what we set out to do.\u201d<\/p>\n

First unveiled to the U.S. in November 2013 at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the Ghibli is Maserati\u2019s first-ever mid-sized four-door luxury sports sedan vehicle.<\/p>\n

Available with all-wheel-drive and starting at $66,900, the Ghibli is powered by a Ferrari-built twin-turbo V6 engine capable of more than 400 horsepower.<\/p>\n

Advanced suspension, Brembo brakes and extensive use of aluminum ensure comfort.<\/p>\n

The cabin offers rich Italian leathers, woods and other high quality materials that are at the heart of the Maserati brand.<\/p>\n
