Each winner will be invited to attend Milan Design Week in April 2014. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">In addition, two of the winners will be provided the opportunity to work with assigned mentors to create a prototype of their award-winning designs, which will be put on display in Milan. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">The theme for this year\u2019s competition is curiosity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">\u201cAt Lexus, we spend a great deal of our time thinking about how we can integrate our curiosity into improving our designs and exhilarating our customers,\u201d said Cyril Dimitris, director of Lexus Canada. \u201cWe hope that the theme of \u2018curiosity\u2019 challenges and inspires this year\u2019s entrants and that these awards contribute toward supporting the next generation of creators, both here in Canada and globally.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">Last year, the inaugural Lexus Design Award drew more than 1,200 submissions from 72 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">The application deadline is October 15, 2013. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">Applications are to be submitted online at <\/span><a title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.designboom.com\/competition\/lexus-design-award-2014\" href=\"http:\/\/www.designboom.com\/competition\/lexus-design-award-2014\"><span style=\"color: blue; font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\" title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.designboom.com\/competition\/lexus-design-award-2014\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\" title=\"blocked::http:\/\/www.designboom.com\/competition\/lexus-design-award-2014\">http:\/\/www.designboom.com\/competition\/lexus-design-award-2014<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Alwyn; font-size: small;\">.
