Along with the latest models and a large-scale “Welcome Wall”, VW’s new Lower Mainland dealership is home to the very first Beetle that landed in Canada in 1952.<\/p><\/div>\n

OpenRoad Auto Group celebrated the grand opening of OpenRoad VW<\/strong><\/a>, Western Canada’s largest VW dealership with an elaborate Westcoast beach party on August 13, 2016, that featured an outdoor beach volleyball court, collector VW displays, and a gourmet barbeque.<\/p>\n

More than 500 guests attended the casual celebration, including Maria Stenstrom, president of Volkswagen Canada and Christian Chia, president & CEO of OpenRoad Auto Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted our grand opening to be a fun evening that was reminiscent of vintage VW beach culture but with a definite modern, Westcoast vibe,\u201d said Ben Lovie, general manager, OpenRoad VW. \u201cI think our guests had a fantastic time and we look forward to holding many similar events for our customers and VW fans in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 45,000 square foot facility which opened in May 2016 is the region\u2019s largest and most modern VW dealership offering a flexible and transparent customer experience, along with friendly hospitality.<\/p>\n

OpenRoad VW is also the new home of the very first VW Beetle to land in Canada in 1952, where it is currently on display.<\/p>\n

Upon entering the new dealership, guests are greeted by a large scale digital \u201cWelcome Wall\u201d, which is the first in a VW dealership in Canada. The wall displays messages in various languages, along with an array of VW images, video and promotional information.<\/p>\n

The spacious dealership features a large selection of new and pre-owned VW models in a showroom equipped with iPads available for customers to search for inventory and calculate payments.<\/p>\n

The large service area has 18 service bays, a detail centre, automated car wash, modern customer lounge and ample free parking.<\/p>\n

Unique OpenRoad VW services include solo test-drive days, OpenRoad house calls, a service valet, free car washes and free equipment rentals of items like bicycles, ski racks and carseats. The dealership will also be hosting regular non-sales related events for VW customers and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n
