Dubbed “The Greatest Show on British Wheels,” the Vancouver All British Field Meet (ABFM) will celebrate its 32nd year on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Featured marques are (i) the world’s first sports sedan, Jaguar Mk 1 & II, and (ii) Modified British-built classics.
Additionally, there will be a special “Britalia” feature—a display of Italian-designed British-built cars.
In two-wheel class, there will be a historic display showcasing the evolution and development of motorcycles over the past 50-plus years.
Friday May 19, 2017: VANCOUVER ABFM MEET & GREET & SILENT AUCTION—5:30pm to 8:30pm
The celebration will begin on Friday May 19, 2017, with a Meet & Greet Reception/Silent Auction & Entrants Pack Pickup at VanDusen Botanical Garden 37th & Oak St., Vancouver, BC.
5:30pm-8:30pm: All ABFM registered entrants, whether or not attending the Meet & Greet Silent Auction event, may collect their entrant’s pack in the VanDusen Main Lobby area on Friday evening.
Registered entrants attending the Meet & Greet Reception/Silent Auction event (register on entry form) receive one (1) complimentary drink ticket: choice of coffee, tea, wine or beer, served at Truffles Café, adjoinging the VanDusen Main Lobby Reception area.

Route to the Vancouver All British Field Meet from event hotels
(2 options): The ABFM is held at the VanDusen Botanical Garden, 37th and Oak Street, Vancouver, B.C., a 15-minute drive from the event’s host hotels.
1) Travel North on Oak Street to 37th Avenue and then turn left. Follow the sign to the VanDusen Garden Entrance (most congested route).
2) Take Bridgeport Road West over the bridge towards airport. Follow the Vancouver Exit around and under the bridge. Take the immediate right at the light and proceed over the Arthur Laing Bridge; keep right and take the Granville Street Exit. Keep right. Go North on Granville to 37th Avenue. Then turn right at 37th and follow the sign to the VanDusen Garden Entrance – 2 blocks (recommended route for the least delay and to avoid over-heating in traffic).
Directions from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal: Leaving the terminal, follow the highway to the intersection with Highway 99 (look for the Delta Town & Country Inn on the left). Turn right around clover leaf onto Highway 99. Proceed North through the tunnel over the Oak Street Bridge all the way to 37th Avenue and then turn left at 37th. Follow the sign to the VanDusen Garden Entrance. For a faster route, take Granville Street North to 37th Avenue and turn right. Follow the signs to the VanDusen Garden Entrance.
Saturday May 20, 2017: VANCOUVER ABFM (32nd annual)—7am-4:30pm
The celebration continues on Saturday May 20, 2017, on the magnificent lawns of VanDusen Botanical Garden, with brass band music, pipe band, food trucks, swap meet, dealer future classics, restoration demonstrations, cars for sale corral and vendor booths. All of which complement the spectacular display of British cars and motorcycles and make this a very special garden party for enthusiasts and those merely looking for a walk down memory lane. If you own a British car or motorcycle or have a car for sale, fill out the 2017 Entry Form to register.Entrants registered by April 15, 2017 are guaranteed an official ABFM colour poster, metal dash plaque, goody bag with samples of sponsors’ available products and are eligible for applicable Special Prize Draws.

Vancouver ABFM Awards
British-built vehicles and motorcycles (including military and commercial vehicles) in any condition, including restoration projects, replica, re-engineered and modified vehicles are encouraged to be part of this annual event. Recognition is given to owners who have done a fine job of maintaining or restoring their vehicle(s). Awards recognize & encourage all levels of interest in the hobby as follows:
Class Awards (Entrants Choice Voting): 60 Classes—3 Awards per class
Entrants vote for First-, Second- and Third-place, with award plaques presented in 60 classes. Entrants do not vote for their own class.

Entrants vote for Most Elegant Car, Neatest Little Car, and Entrant’s Choice Overall.

Long Distance Driver Award
Awarded to the entrant who has driven his/her entered car the most kilometres to attend the event within one week of the show date. Car must be pre-1987. In the event of a tie regarding distance, the older of the vehicles will be declared the winner.
Featured Marque Awards (Judged)
Presented by the marque’s club president and/or the award sponsor. The 2017event will honour Jaguar Mk 1 & II, recognize all Modified cars, and pay tribute to Historic motorcycles.
Age 30 & Under Youngtimer Entrant Award (Judged)
If you are entering a car or motorcycle and you are aged 30 or younger, check the applicable box on the entry form for consideration by the ABFM judges.
Best Period Dress Award (Judged)
A team of judges will choose the best ensemble worn, dating from the 1930s-1970s.
The Mike Powley Motor Mouth Spirit Award
Presented to the person who best represents a true classic British-car enthusiast. Decided by ABFM selection committee, in consultation with David and Marianne Powley.
Student Judging Award (Judged)
To encourage the involvement of young people in the classic car hobby. Cars will be selected and judged by a team of automotive students and other young adults (17-21 years old).
Recognizing a person who has contributed significantly to the classic car hobby.
Edd Langelier Award
The Edd Award recognizes long-time volunteer service within the classic car hobby.
Sunday May 21, 2017: VANCOUVER-WHISTLER RUN—8:30am-3pm
The weekend culminates on Sunday May 21, 2017, with the opportunity to drive one of the world’s most scenic roads, the Sea-to-Sky Highway from West Vancouver to the resort Town of Whistler. Maximum number of 120 cars will be displayed in the magnificent Olympic Plaza located in the Village Centre. Note: Because of Liability rules, please do not register if you have to leave the Olympic Plaza earlier than 3pm. Register early, event sold out for the last 2 years.
8am-10:30am Entrants gather at West Vancouver, Park Royal Centre for conversation, coffee and muffins. First car flagged off at 8.30am, others arrive and leave at will (last car out 10:30am) for the relaxing 74-mile scenic drive along the world famous Sea to Sky Highway to the alpine village of Whistler. Awards and prizes at 3.30pm with event special hotel rates for those staying over on this holiday weekend.
10am-3pm Whistler Village Olympic Plaza car display, exhibitors and prize awards. Each car entry receives a metal dash plaque & is eligible for applicable Special Prize Draws including a trip for two.
