Car sharing company Zipcar has expanded its service and is now offering Richmond, BC residents and small businesses access to cars “on-demand” by the hour or the day.
With nearly 125 Zipcars in Vancouver, two new Zipcars—a Honda CR-V named “Cyrill” and a Nissan Sentra named “Sashbay”—are now available for reservation. The cars can be found at the Richmond Centre Mall. This location is right across the street from the highly trafficked Richmond Brighouse Canada Line station, making Zipcar easily accessible to thousands of commuters, residents and visitors in the area.
Zipcars are available for reservation 24/7 to all members in its global network ages 21+ living in or travelling to the Richmond area. Whether residents want to head to one of the many parks and trails in the area, checkout the local food and culture at Richmond Night Market, venture over to Steveson Village, or take a trip into Vancouver, the new Zipcars offer on-demand access to transportation and the freedom to explore Richmond and beyond on your own time.
Zipcar hourly reservations in Richmond start at $8.25 per hour and $72 per day for drivers on Zipcar’s “Occasional driving” plan. Zipcar also offers low weekday driving rates for businesses that are a part of Zipcar for Business program. Gas, insurance and 200 kilometres of driving per day are included in the cost of all reservations.
