Maserati Canada delivered 1,246 vehicles in 2017, achieving an all-time sales record as a top sales-change leader from 2016 to 2017, with a more than 80 per cent increase compared year over year.
It is upon that success that Maserati brought its full 2018 all-wheel- drive (AWD) line-up to the Montréal Auto Show, held January 19-28.
On display at the Quebec event was the Ghibli S Q4 sport-sedan, the flagship Quattroporte executive sedan and the new 424-horsepower Levante S, the “Maserati of SUVs.”
All three distinct model lines have received upgrades for 2018.
Significant updates to the Ghibli and Levante MY18 include the addition of GranLusso and GranSport trims, previously introduced in the Quattroporte range.
With the new Maserati range strategy, customers can now choose one of two distinct trims for the Levante and the Ghibli: GranSport or GranLusso.
GranSport was conceived to meet the demands of a sportier expression of the high-end lifestyle, while the sophisticated and luxurious GranLusso cabin combines a choice of Ermenegildo Zegna silk or full premium Italian upholstery and includes upgrades such as Radica open-pore wood trim and a leather steering wheel.
New for 2018, the Ghibli and Quattroporte now also feature Adaptive full LED headlights with glare-free high-beam, based on Matrix technology for Ghibli, developed in collaboration with Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting, and on L-shape technology for Quattroporte.
Both Maserati sedans are fitted with power-upgraded 3.0L V6 engines as well, with the new, performance-enhancing Integrated Vehicle Control system (IVC), developed by Bosch in collaboration with Maserati.
Pricing for the 2018 Ghibli starts at CAD $88,500, with the Levante available for a base price of CAD $92,900 and the Quattroporte starting at an MSRP of CAD $127,500, all prices excluding taxes.
